Congratulations!
Austrian HTLs were again very successful at the 19th European Union Contest for Young Scientists in Valencia between September 14 and 19, 2007. The project “Energy from maize straw” (presented by Martina Hafner, HTL Braunau) was awarded the second prize. A third prize was conferred to the project “Latent heat storage system (Salt crystals as a new energy storage technology)” (presented by Julian Glechner, Werner Pollhammer and David Stockinger, HTL Braunau). A special donated prize of recognition went to the project “Synthesis of a linker molecule for self-assembled monolayers (SAM)” (presented by Philipp Zagar, HTL Wels).
With our congratulations to the prize winners and the teachers supporting the projects, we hope that many HTLs will again take part in the “Jugend Innovativ” competition and be among the winners who are sent to next year’s EU contest.
