Cooperation with English universities and colleges

 

For many years there have been contacts between the Austrian schools and colleges for engineering, arts and crafts and English tertiary institutions. These contacts will now be further extended. This is the outcome of a study visit by HTL representatives at school, regional and federal levels to England last March. A major step in this direction will be made in October with the visit by experts from Kingston University, London (the picture was taken at the Department of Aerospace Engineering), Newham College of Further Education in London, and City College Norwich in Norfolk to HTLs in Eisenstadt, Vienna-TGM, St. Pölten and Steyr. These HTLs thus contribute to creating a European education market that offers a wider range of educational careers to students. In particular, exchange programmes and opportunities to study in England will be discussed, which is interesting for HTL graduates not least due to the design of English programmes, which flexibly build on previous knowledge levels.
