Seminar on occupation-related practice for managerial personnel: 23-25 August 2007
Between August 23-25 this year, the second practice seminar for managerial personnel of the engineering, arts and crafts school sector was held at HTL Waidhofen/Ybbs. Whereas last year’s focus was on woodwork (at HTL Hallstatt), this seminar dealt with the foundations of mechanical processing, smithing and welding. Under the expert instruction of the team of teachers Peter Stattmann, Ernst Fahrngruber and Christoph, all participants successfully completed the seminar with an (almost) independently produced workpiece. What remained was the conviction that the teaching activity in the workshop is connected with much commitment and circumspection and contributes largely to the HTL’s high level of practice.
The seminar was kindly headed by the seminar’s host, Principal Gernot Walter, who additionally offered a framework programme that was well worth seeing. All the participants went home not only with the best of impressions of HTL Waidhofen, but also with the intention to visit this beautiful town and region noted for its rich tradition again.
