Why should I use CLIL

A brief survey of why teachers want to teach their subject in English:

• I get increased student attention
• Teaching becomes more lively, it helps to expand the students` knowledge and wisdom
• It is a personal challenge
• It is both professional and self-development
• There is less boredom and monotony
• It stimulates a new interest in the subject from a different perspective
• It means better career and job prospects for the students
• It helps them to achieve a higher qualification
• It is a necessity, unavoidable, a must
• Students should be enabled to deal with special subject literature
• Modern and up-to-date teaching materials can be used
• Most manuals and operating instructions are in English
• I want to brush up my own English (also in my subject)
• It is a learning training for students and teachers
• It offers more authentic use of English outside the normal English lessons
• Internationalisation and globalisation

  With English I can make the students talk
